Professional Audio RepairsWe offer complete electronic repair services for all professional audio equipment, analog or digital. Unlike most repair centers, we don't make you come to us, we'll gladly come to you - we specialize in on-site repairs. With many fixed installations, it can be difficult to remove or bring in a failing component. In some situations it's just too hard to tell what the actual problem is. Whether your console is too large to transport or you simply don't want to deal with moving it, we can take care of it for you. Whether it's a dead speaker, a bad crossover, or just an intermittent mic cable, we can fix it. Many sound systems exhibit undesirable noise (typically hum or buzz), either intermittently or constantly. Improper system wiring typically induces these types of noise. Sometimes it's the audio cables, other times it's AC power systems, and sometimes both. With over 20 years experience in sound system design, wiring, installation, and operation, we have the expertise to solve your noise problems. Sound System Maintenance and CalibrationAll sound systems, whether used for sound reinforcement, recording, or broadcast, require periodic maintenance. With studio control rooms or sound reinforcement systems, frequency response calibration (tuning) in the room can change over time. This is typically due to changes in room construction and fixtures such as furniture, equipment, or wall treatments, natural changes in sound system components such as speakers, consoles, and signal processors, or operator adjustment. Periodic calibration of your systems using Real-Time Frequency Analysis will help ensure that your system sounds as good as possible all the time.Loudspeaker feedback is another live sound problem. It is typically induced by non-linear speaker frequency response, improper microphones or technique, or operator error. High quality system components, Real-Time Analysis, and proper system tuning can play a huge role in minimizing or eliminating feedback. Sound System Upgrades and InstallationsMany sound systems will need to be upgraded over a period of time. What once was an adequate system can become inadequate as your facility changes with growth. Many older systems simply don't offer the efficiency or quality of sound that today's systems do. Whether it requires replacing an entire system or just adding to what you already have, we can do it for you.Sometimes the speaker system is good but you don't have the necessary signal processing equipment or microphones to get a good sounding mix out front or in the monitors. With over 20 years experience in live sound and studio production, we know what it takes to get the best possible mix. Whether you need some new mics or wireless systems, outboard signal processors or a new console, we've got you covered. Engineer TrainingHaving a good sound system is not enough. It takes a solid understanding of how the equipment works and how it's implemented to achieve a good sounding mix on a consistent basis. Our technician, Jim Rivers, has been an instructor in the Audio Production department at the Art Institute of Seattle for 16 years. He teaches classes in several different audio fields including Concert Sound, Studio Recording and Mixing, Digital Audio Systems, Basic Electronics, and Audio Post for Film, to name a few. He is one of the most experienced and respected Audio Instructors in the Pacific Northwest. Whether your engineers are beginners or seasoned vets, we can help you get the most out of your mix. |
